Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision, performs and oversees the receipt, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail for the central mail services of a department/division/facility. Assists supervisor with maintaining mail services operations and the planning and organizing of the work unit. Responds to complex mail services inquiries and maintains records for the unit. Serves as a lead worker to mail services staff. May manage a small mail services operation and/or function as supervisor for the unit in the supervisor's absence.
Entry Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two years experience in mail services OR One year of experience at the lower level or at an equivalent position (GSS021: Mail Services Equipment Operator, Mail Services Clerk, or Postal Services Clerk). Note: Some positions may require a valid drivers license.
